Spring break will soon be here. Below is a list of book series recommended by 4th and 5th graders for some spring break reading enjoyment. Ramona is always getting into some sort of trouble. She is a fun character that girls tend to fall in love with. Beverly Cleary does a great job of making all of her characters quirky and fun. There are eight books in this series.
When I was in first grade I swung the bat before the gym teacher blew the whistle to do so while playing tee-ball. She cried, so I cried. Really horrible memory. It was a plastic bat so no damage was done, scared her more than anything. She actually wound up coming down to my class later in the day to talk to me because I felt so bad and was so upset about it.
Books for 3rd graders and beyond are obviously the best gift. When buying for kids, books are even better because you can pick out something that will directly help them build skills they need for school. Picking out a book can be fraught.
