We appreciate our volunteers and believe they deserve to be recognized for their contributions! Nominate a volunteer who has made outstanding contributions and a significant impact in girls' lives. Nominations are only accepted through the online portal. The deadline for the year is February 15, About submitting a nomination. Appreciation is an ongoing process for all volunteers.
Each year, Girl Scouts formally recognizes those adult volunteers who have made significant accomplishments and gone above and beyond to empower girls. Girl Scout awards are deeply rooted in tradition and create a great sense of gratification and achievement. Individuals who have been registered members for 50 years and higher girl and adult years combined, in five year increments will be recognized at the Adult Recognition Ceremony. Years of Volunteer Service in Girl Scouting "Girl Scout Volunteer" on pin with number of years five through 30 by five's of volunteer service in the center. Volunteers who have given five years of volunteer service or more in five year increments to Girl Scouts will be recognized at the Adult Recognition Ceremony. Each Service Unit can award one Green Angle each year.

Most adult awards and recognitions have certificates, pins or medals, and a patch usually with a square knot embroidered on it in different colors. Adult leaders wear these square knot patches on their uniform over the left pocket. The order that they are worn is up to the individual.
